PROSTHETICS & JOBS
FOR AMPUTEES
ACROSS VIETNAM
Our
IMPACT PROPOSITIONS
Social Awareness
Uplift aims to change how society sees amputees, but more importantly, how amputees see themselves, not as broken but full of potential.
Empowerment
UpLift fosters independence and empowerment through giving amputees the ability to not only function but to excel at what they do.
Life-Long Value
Amputations don’t go away. We expect to be a life-long partner to our users, growing and sharing everything with them. Their success is our success.

WHAT VULCAN
WANTS TO ACHIEVE
Is to put at least 10% of the amputee population in developing countries newly or back to the workforce by 2025 through the synergy between technology innovation, human empowerment and sustainable business practices.
Launched on 30th March 2019,
Uplift aims to deliver prosthetic arms to 30 amputees, giving them a chance to earn a decent earning to support themselves and their families in 2019.
Starting with Waitering,
Amputees can easily get access to this job opportunity. Also, this is a public-facing, highly-visible and people-interacting job which will create a strong message.
In Vietnam,
Approximately 69% of the 5.1 million persons with disabilities are of working age. Only 30% of them have a job and a stable income to support themselves and their family.
JUNE 2020: UPLIFT IN HA NOI

This is towards
Changing society’s perception of people with disabilities. With Vulcan's specifically-made sockets tailored for waiter or waitressing, amputees will easily excel at the job.

ROBOTIC ARMS & JOBS
FOR AMPUTEES
Two parts that made up Project UpLift
Product
The first job-specific module that Vulcan is developing in relation with UpLift project is the Waiter module, specially-tailored for every waitressing task.
1
Partners
We work with influential PWD community to raise awareness about the job opportunities, empower amputees to join the force as well as to connect the project’s beneficiaries with other possible resources and support.
2
Vulcan Augmetics has partnered with The Coffee House (TCH) Vietnam in providing these job opportunities as waiters/waitresses. Due to the vast number of TCH chains in Vietnam, access to this job is abundant.
The waiter module is just the beginning!
We are actively looking to expand our partners as well as produce more modular attachments in order to provide diverse job opportunities for our beneficiaries.

What do
OUR BENEFICIARIES RECEIVE?
Vulcan's Prosthetic Arm
We will be providing our beneficiaries with an entirely functional and fully modular prosthetic arm from Vulcan - for free!
Job Opportunities
With the help of our partners, we will be able to offer and link job opportunities to our beneficiaries to get them back on track to being financially stable.
